Australia won 6th world cup title over India

Australian cricket team won 6th world cup title by 6 wickets defeat over Indian team. Australian team totally outplayed the host opponent India which played the whole tournament exceptionally. One of the key player Travis Head made a winning hundred and stole the victory from India.

India’s Innings

After winning toss, captain Pat Cummins decided to bowl first. Indian team looses its first wicket Shubman Gill 4(7) in 4.2 overs. After that skipper Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli made a partnership of 56 runs with good pace and looses their second wicket Rohit Sharma 47 (31). In next over 10.2, Josh Hazlewood took wicket of in form player Shreyas Iyer 4(3). Virat Kohli and KL Rahul made a partnership of 67 runs under pressure and then Pat Cummings got wicket of Virat Kohli 54(63). KL Rahul played an good inning of 67(107) even team loosing continuous wickets from another end .

On the other hand, Mitchell Starc took 3 wickets for the Australian team. While Pat Cummins and Josh Hazlewood achieved 2-2 wickets.

Australia’s Innings

In second innings, Australia looses their three early wickets, there after opener Travis Head made a good partnership of 192 runs with Marnus Labuschagne. While chasing the target of 241 runs, the Australian team won the match and the title by losing 4 wickets. In the match, Travis Head played a match-winning century inning of 137 runs. While Marnus Labuschagne scored unbeaten 58 runs.

Australia defeated India by six wickets in the final match. Aussies had a target of 241 runs, which it achieved with 42 balls remaining. Travis Head played a match-winning inning of 137 runs for Australia. Marnus Labuschagne also remained unbeaten after scoring 58 runs. While chasing the target, the Kangaroo team lost three wickets for 47 runs, but after this Marnus Labuschagne and Travis Head made the match one-sided by making a partnership of 192 runs. Travis Head was the player of the match.

Among Indian bowlers, Jasprit Bumrah took 2 wickets and Mohammad Siraj along with Mohammad Shami took 1 wicket each. In this way, Rohit Sharma missed repeating the history of Kapil Dev and Mahendra Singh Dhoni this time. Kapil Dev became champion in 1983 and Dhoni in 2011.
